I am looking for a PC build that would be able to run Skyrim on high/ultra settings as well as be able to support a good amount of mods. Not only that, but I don't want the build to break the bank ($900 or less if possible). This is my first build and my first post on this website so any help or advice will be welcome. Thank you and have a happy new year!

For the extra $40 16 GBs of RAM is a great investment. (It will help if you plan on going crazy with mods) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231568&cm_re=gskill_1600-_-20-231-568-_-Product

Estimated cost: $835 USD

Edit: Forgot about the operating system. That'll cost you another $100 on the $835. You could go with the cheaper GTX 960, also a cheaper i5 CPU if you'd like. If you can, wait and look for deals on these parts too save some $ if you wanted to get the GTX 970 and i5-4590 for all under $900.

This computer will run Skyrim 60+fps and any game you throw at it at 1080p for the next 5 years guaranteed. But MODS always change your performance on any computer. This computer will also be able to run Virtual Reality when its released.

For the advice part, build a custom PC. If you can't build it yourself, pay someone who can. You will get a much better bang for your buck building a custom PC than buying a Pre-built.
