Motherboard audio doesn't work on new build

Title explains my problem. Everything works on my new build except motherboard audio (front and back panel ports). I've run the audio drivers installer a few times now but it doesn't seem to have any effect. Device Manager only shows AMD High Definition Audio and my USB stand mic. It should show a Realtek High Definition Audio driver but does not.

Important parts of my build are there: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/jThzt6

Thanks in advance for any help offered. I was really looking forward to enjoying this new build.

go to control panel and go to hardware and sound then sound and make sure "realtek high definition audio" is enabled, if it doesnt appear tell me what does show up under playback and i will tell you which one to enable

Playback pane has only 6 different entries for AMD High Definition Audio Device, all say "Not plugged in". nothing else

Try downloading the Realtek driver from either the Microsoft Update catalog or Realtek.

http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/

I downloaded 64-bit drivers direct from Realtek, same problem. Is it worth a try with the 32-bit drivers?
