My cpu has been in use for over 2 years now, it has never been overclocked for a large duration of time or has had its voltages changed, it is also using a hyper 212 evo with arctic silver 5 paste. I was looking to buy a new graphics card to future proof my pc further for gaming but I am not sure if it is worth it with my cpu now. I was looking up the average time that it would be useful for gaming and people were saying 2-3 years, so does this mean that my computer is at the end of it's life? My temperatures usually stay in the high 50s to low 60s under load. I also need to stop being lazy and change the thermal paste which might also help :p Anyways, help is appreciated.

Solution
Your CPU is great! it can't bottleneck even the greatest GPU on the planet (that i know of) Your GPU will probably be obsolete before your CPU does. a friend of mine still uses his Q6600, it has been through a GTX 660 ti, a GTX 760 and now a GTX 960, sure there is some bottleneck but everything is still playable and it has lasted him many years, that cpu wasn't even the best in its day, you shouldn't worry about your cpu.

Your 4670K will last essentially forever. Even when overclocked so long as the voltages necessary are not excessive.
Your temperatures are nominal, no need to change paste.
The cpu will slow down or even shut off if it gets dangerously hot to prevent damage.
That temperature is about 100c.

Not to worry.
