How do I get back into Windows from the BIOS? I save and exit the BIOS and it goes right into an ErrorCode A2 and or 90 and it stays there with a caption: Do not shut down or reset to prevent system bootup failure.

Hi Puff4r, Dorsey here. I've tried numerous times through CMOS, changing the boot priority, changing the controller mode from ACHI to RAID back and forth, changed Option ROM Messages from Forced BIOS to Keep Current and back again. Also, in TOOLS> Forced BIOS2 BOOT > BIOS1. I get nothing. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

First, do not change the controller mode unless you intend to reinstall Windows. I am assuming that Windows was working well and you tried to change a setting in the BIOS leading to the problem you are having now. Is this correct? If so, what setting did you change in the first place before you got the error message the first time?

Hey. Windows was working well. Then it froze. The only way out was to hard start, and through the booting process, it went staright to the previous message. Do not shut down.

Do you have the Windows install media handy, USB or DVD? Boot to it and choose Advanced features to try a Startup Repair. What version of Windows for a detailed walk thru if you need it.

Depends on how your boot order is setup. You should have the option to select a boot device or boot media during the POST. If not just change the boot order in BIOS to boot to the USB first and all should go well.
