Hello,

I recently added Kingston 4GB module to latitude E6410 and windows 7 Professional crashes.
Specs of the 4GB module:

JEDEC standard 1.35V (1.28V ~ 1.45V) and 1.5V (1.425V ~
1.575V) Power Supply
• VDDQ = 1.35V (1.28V ~ 1.45V) and 1.5V (1.425V ~ 1.575V)
• 800MHz fCK for 1600Mb/sec/pin

Initailly it was running two 1GB modules which has a 1.5V setting.and 1066Mb/sec

Would I be able to use my 4GB module in this laptop with any setting?

BIOS shows it updated as 5 Gb when i mix the Ram modules or 4GB when I put the 4Gb alone. But windows 7 crashes. I tried repair option as well. After loading some files it also crashes.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Raj

So, you're mixing RAM sticks? That's always a bad idea, probably that's crausing the crash. It's recommended to use RAM sets bought paired.

If you still wanna mix RAM sticks you will have to deal with the timings/latency settings.
