Is a 500W PSU enough for a GTX 970?

So..I have a Chieftec 500W model APS-500S..is it enough for a gtx 970? If not,how about a GTX 960?

If I am going to buy the gtx 970,it will be Palit JetStream 4GB and if I am going to buy the gtx 960 it will be the GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 960 OC WindForce 2X 4GB

As long as it has 2x 6-pins then it will be enough for the 970, but I am not sure on that, seems like it doesn't (according to their website) but you might give it a check. If it doesn't then you will have to go for a gtx 960 or buy a new psu.

I just checked my PSU specs..here is what it says:
20+4 Pin ATX 1
8 Pin EPS 12V 1
4 Pin ATX 12V 1
6+2 PCI-E 2
SATA 6
Molex 3
Floppy 1

Generaly a 500w psu is enough for a gtx 970 and yours does have two pcie 6pin connectors, but im not sure if its a good idea to runn a gtx 970 on it ,since it is an older psu

What I found was one 6pin in the web but if you are sure you have 2x 6+2pins then you can run the gtx 970.

A good quality 500W PSU is enough for a GTX970.
The problem is, personally, I do not think Chieftec is a good and reliable brand, thus I have doubts if your 500W PSU can handle a GTX970 properly.
