Hi

MY specs:

5960x cpu
64gb ddr4 ram
3x titans
1x titan X
1300 psu

My questions are:

I wish to have more than 4 gpus. I want 7. I will most likely get 3x 980ti to add to my current rig.

So I chose this board because it has 7 slots, yes?

I realise I will probably need a way larger psu?

Will the 5960x cpu work with this mobo?

I do 3D work using a gpu based render engine and thats why I need loads of gpu power.

Sli setup is not needed.

Thanks

Solution
Probably not.

Supports Intel Socket 2011-3 for Intel Xeon processor E5-2600 v3 product family. Intel Core i7-5960X is not supported.
Uses RDIMM, LR-DIMM Memory, i.e. Registered or Load reduced DIMM (LRDIMM). Unbuffered memory is not supported.

Quadro is a brand of graphics processing units (GPUs) designed by Nvidia. They are designed to accelerate CAD (computer-aided design) and DCC (digital content creation), and are therefore usually featured in workstations (compared to Nvidia's GeForce product line, which specifically targets computer gaming).

Choice of operating system is important as some hardware may also be incompatible with it.

Gaming cards are the best rendering cards. Only a complete idiot with massive amounts of disposable income would use Quadro cards for something like Octane render... A GeForce has essentially the same GPU and the cost per CUDA core is massively cheaper on a GeForce...
