It would most likely resolve the issue, but can you install an ATX motherboard or are you stuck with the micro ATX format (there are no really good micro ATX motherboards for that CPU)? You really should post all info about your system including the motherboard and case size.

thats not much of an upgrade (for gaming) unless games use alot of cores, Just saying dont expect an fps increase, you should invest in a new Video card and return the CPU and go back to the fx 4350, if your going to buy a new CPU and MOBO why spend that much on barely gaining any performance when you could get a gtx 750ti instead or get an i5

if you play CPU bound games then get a new CPU and motherboard from intel so you get more single core speed
i5-4460 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor
ASRock H97M Anniversary Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
That will massively outperform the fx 8350 accept in 8 core optimized games

This runs faster and cooler, but it will require you to install the new components

i would save your pennies and not get a new motherboard, Return the fx 8350 since it is incompatible with your motherboard and get a GPU like the

GTX 960 4gb for 200$ it will massively boost your performance and you will be able to raise graphical settings to high and maybe some ultra

GTX 750ti for 130$ for medium high maybe some ultra in games

Make sure your PSU is compatible, could you tell me your PSU wattage and name if you can?

I think that it's ATX 500w
My motherboard isn't great so I think I'm best getting a new one so it's better with my graphics card for example the msi to be compatible with the msi nvidia gtx 960

i have a 50$ motherboard running a gtx 760 with an fx 4130 and am getting an i7 4790k soon, Motherboards upgrades are pointless unless you need to upgrade for your CPU or want better cooling to overclock, but in my opinion i dont see why people spend 100$plus just to get 5 more fps from overclocking.

Whats your motherboard name? look inside your case and just tell me what letters in numbers you see on the motherboard itself
