So I have a 525 Watt PSU and recently got an upgrade for my gpu. This new gpu (R9 390) requires two seperate 6pin connectors. My old gpu used one connector that split into two. So my issue is that I only have 1 4 pin molex so I cannot adapt that to a 6 pin, I have many SATA connectors and have bought a adapter that will be shipped soon, but i rather not use it.

I do have another 6 pin connector that is available but it says it is not activated on my Watt level, is there anyway for me to override that?

Would it be fine to test the new graphics card using the adapters on my PC? At the moment when I put it in I get a black screen, so I rather not spend 80 dollars only to find out the gpu still does not work
