Hi, Well basically I have a old mobo with a old cpu E4500 since I didn't want to change the whole pc I thought that a small upgrade will be a better thing to do so I brought a e8500 but the speed is lower than the stock speed :
Here is my system:
Mobo: ConRoe1333-D667
CPU: E8500 (old cpu e4500)
GPU: AMD 6670 2GB
Ram : 4GB
HDD : SAMSUNG 500 GB
PSU : 550W
My CPU Values:
And here is the normal values:
There is no power feature that I know about, SpeedStep has been disabled, If I tried to run it at stock speeds I had this problem with HDD not recognized http:// My solution was the last post to keep the FSB at 320mhz max but even then the computer only recognize 1.8ghz in cpu-z instead of 3 or 2.9 ghz Is there a solution for my problem? Maybe I need to update my Mobo?
Some of this updates has to do with the CPU?
http://
I didn't made any updates before and I don't really know how, Because there is no option in my bios to flash.
The e8500 is a E0 stepping not a C0 maybe this has to do with something? Since in my mobo upgrade list the e8500 is a C0?
With my old CPU I will go as far as 2.9ghz from 2.2ghz stock speed so I don't really see the problem here.
