I recently built a new PC and it was fine starting up but I noticed when it got to the BIOS I could see the CPU Temperature rise from about 40 - 80 degrees in about 2 minutes. I am using a VIII Hero with a H110i GT to cool the CPU.Is this a common problem with BIOS readings? I also noticed that the fans are running at very high speeds and are quite loud, could this could be due to using stock 750D & H110i GT fans? or a setting in the BIOS. I haven't installed Windows so I haven't gotten the chance to use other programs but I am scared the PC will overheat whilst installing. I would really appreciate any advice given! Thanks.

I have just checked it's position and it seems to be fine so I will be purchasing some thermal paste to see if that works.

I was also wondering if the BIOS causes the system to run under stress. Is this possible?

I'll probably just come back in a few days to see whether or not reapplying thermal paste worked. Thanks for the help!

I decided to attempt to fix it one more time. It turns out when i plugged in the Sata Power cable on the plug I saw a dramatic difference in temperature. It stopped rising from 40 to 80 in 2 minutes and went around 19 to 25 in about 10 minutes. Ill come back later to share more results but everything seems to work.

(I think the pump wasnt plugged in properly)
