Asus Rog laptop gaming problems

Hello.My gaming laptop,an Asus ROG G551JW (i7 4750hq @3.2ghz,GTX 960M 4gb gddr5,8gb ram) has poor gaming performance(or I expect too much from it).On games like farcry 4 and fallout 4 on verry high settings I get somewhere around 25 fps.Is it ok or the laptop has some settings that I have not discovered?Thanks!

No, that's to be expected. A 960m is only equal to a desktop GTX 750, which isn't terribly spectacular, but can run games and some settings.

Turn down your settings.

FO4 on a 960m:
System Specifications #5
Operating System: Windows 10 Home - 64-bit
Processor and Speed: Intel Core i5-6300HQ @ 2.3GHz (2.9Ghz Turbo)
RAM and Speed: 8GB (1x8GB) DDR3-1600GHz
Graphics Card: Nvidia GTX 960M 4GB

Can I play the game - Yes/No: Yes
What Resolution am I set at: 1920x1080
What are my avg FPS: Ultra Preset (vsync off): Avg: 30.650 - Min: 20 - Max: 52
What are my avg FPS: Medium Preset (vsync off): Avg: 50.483 - Min: 34 - Max: 99
What are my avg FPS: Low Preset (vsync on): Avg: 58.967 - Min: 57 - Max: 63
