Yep, that'll work just fine.

It is, however, inadvisable to mix and match RAM sticks of different brands/types. Try to figure out what your existing stick is and buy another of that.

Ideally, you should buy both matching sticks in a kit, but two of the same model are less likely to have stability issues.

No/because i only have 2 dimmslots and my 4 gig kit takes up both slots so I am just getting one 8 gig stick, and using the 4 gig kit in another computer. Thanks :)
