How to factory restore xp without disk

Just found an old netbook with Xp service patch 3 installed. I need to restore it to factory settings but it came with xp installed no disc.
I'm too used to iOS devices , can't remember how to do it.

The OS backup will probably be on the hard drive. You can do a fresh install (recovery) by pressing a certain key or keys during the boot up process. You haven't posted make/model of netbook so I can't tell you which key or keys to press.
