Hi!

I started constructing my new build today (still waiting on the RAM to arrive but I had concerns about this fitting in my case so I started anyway to check) and I'm really not sure what to do with my fans. My case is the cube Cooler Master HAF XB Evo. It has two front 140 mm fans, 1 rear 120 mm and 1 top 200 mm fan.

My issue is that I have the Nepton 280L AIO liquid cooler whose radiator HAS to be at the front of my case. Now normally I'd have the front fans as intakes however I don't like the idea of it blowing the hot air from my radiator across the system.. so I was thinking of having them as an exhaust..

This picture is the front of my case, the two fans have to be mounted on this side due to the length of my graphics card.

This means I would have to have the back fan as an intake. I can place my computer so the back of the pc is in the open air like the front if that helps.. I also have a 200 mm fan on the top over the mobo that can be an exhaust or intake..

Here's the insides:

Does anyone have any suggestions? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
Kaine

Well, you don't have a choice. Your radiator and fans have to go in the front because they wont fit anywhere else. You can outfit the rear with two 80mm fans or a single 120mm depending on what you have. I would set the rear as an exhaust. Then put the 200mm fan that they recommend on their site in the top as an intake. It'll be a weird airflow pattern, but there isn't many possible configurations for the case.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. I'll keep that as my final measure, so what I'm after for now is ideas on the best configuration for this system, and I'll test the temps and if it's no good I'll look into a new case. Any ideas?

Cheers,

So I'd have the both the front and rear as exhausts?

Thanks for your help, I know it's not ideal however I'm severely over budget already so I need to try haha.
