Hey guys, Im roughly 6"4' and living in Melbourne, Australia. I currently am using a pretty crappy chair for my PC desk right now and I always find myself sitting in a bad position with my legs up on my bed or in some way that I know is bad for my posture. I was wondering what are my best options for a tall person like me? Im leaning towards the DX-Racer's or some racing chair like that only because I know they make really big chairs. If I could get some reccomendations that would be sweet. Would rather purchase within AUS if possible, but don't mind if I have to spend a few more dollars buying from the US. Thanks
If you have had any experiences with the chairs let me know also

1. Ergonomic Mesh Midback Task Chair by BestMassage
Ergonomic Mesh Computer Office Desk Midback Task Chair by Best Massage

Budget buyers rejoice! BestMassage now offers a mesh chair that’s down below $50 with free shipping. You won’t have to make up your mind over your favorite color, it only comes in black.

Frankly speaking, the Ergonomic Mesh Midback Task Chair by BestMassage isn’t going to do your back any favors. But, for around $50 bucks you’re getting one of the best office chairs for the money. As you’d expect with a budget chair, you get the brass tacks: height adjustment, 360 swivel, and tilt control. The standout feature on this chair is the mesh back, which offers better air flow than traditional fabric or leather backing.

This is a great chair for gamers who game occasionally and don’t do those marathon gaming sessions too often. While it isn’t the most comfortable chair, it’s sturdy enough to last a couple years until you’re ready to upgrade to your Herman Miller.

Pros:

Cheap office chair, free shipping
Neat looking armrests
Mesh back helps you stay cool
Cons:

Your back may get angry after extended use
Arms are a one-size-doesn’t-fit-all and don’t adjust
Won’t last a long time, back part is prone to breaking
2. Flash Furniture Mid-Back Chair with Triple Paddle Controlmid-back-mesh-chair-with-tripple-paddle-control-by-flash-furniture
The Mid-Back Black Mesh Chair with Triple Paddle Control by Flash Furniture is a fantastic “one size fits all” chair. It has enough adjustment mechanisms and ventilation to keep you comfortable through extended periods of sitting. Flash Furniture makes some of the most well-priced ergonomic office chairs on the market. If you’re looking other ergonomic designs Flash Furniture has several other terrific options.

Pros:

Great one size fits all chair: very adjustable & 10 color options
Extra large paddles makes adjusting easy
Extra thick seat padding
Cons:

Difficult to assemble, caster wheels hard to attach
Backrest fabric not very comfortable
Armrests can be too tall to fit under lower desks
high-back-leather-chair-by-flash-furnitureIf you love leather, the Black Leather Executive Office Chair with Triple Paddle Control is the mesh’s chairs leather equivalent, features a slightly higher back, and is well worth a look. It features the same comprehensive customization as the mesh version with the extra large paddles. The extra high back (adjusts up to 21 inches tall) is a nice treat for big and tall gamers. The contoured design adds a nice professional polish to this Flash Furniture offering.

flash-furniture-guest-reception-best-guest-chairIf you’re on the hunt for a side and/or guest chair (or just want a chair without wheels) the Flash Black Leather Guest Chair fits the bill. It has a classy black finished frame and the seat cushions come in four color variations. The cushions are contoured and textured enhancing the aesthetic nicely. It is light weight making it easy to move around your desk or to another room. The cushions are thick and the arm-rests are padded to provide maximum comfort. For about $60 you will receive a professional looking, sturdy, comfortable office chair that will please any co-pilot or spectator.

flash-furniture-kneeling-posture-best-ergonomic-chairFlash Furniture is the creator of the Wooden Ergonomic Kneeling Posture Chair. This unique design by Flash Furniture is highly spoken of by chiropractors. It’s also one of the best sellers on Amazon. Clearly, this odd looking contraption has been delivering results to some folks. If you really want to take care of your back, or are already experiencing persisting back pain, it’s a great secondary chair to have alongside your main office chair to utilize every so often.

3. AmazonBasics Mid-Back Leather Office Chair
amazonbasics-mid-back-leather-office-chair

The AmazonBasics Mid-Back Leather Office Chair is probably the best bang for your buck on the market right now. It is one of the first private label furniture items sold by Amazon. The black leather upholstery and professional design aren’t something you’d expect to see in this price range.

True to its name, you only the basics with this chair: pneumatic seat height adjustment and backrest tilt controls. These are simply adjusted to raise and lower the seat and customize the resistance of the backrest. The smooth back contours provide an acceptable level of comfort and the dual wheel casters are well-made.

Pros:

Price is right
Exceptional build quality, comfortable padding
Fast shipping, Amazon private label item
Cons:

Not ideal for big and tall gamers
Tilt mechanism has to be adjusted just right
Only comes in one color
amazonbasics-high-back-executive-chair-in-brownFor taller individuals, the AmazonBasics High-Back Executive Chair may be a better fit. This version of the chair comes in two color variations: brown and black. It is a step up from the AmazonBasics Mid-Back chair in build quality, but is still limited in the adjustment mechanism department. You get the pneumatic height adjustment and tilt-tension knob underneath the seat (allowing you to make it easier or harder to rock back in the chair) but that’s it. Nevertheless, the bonded leather covering sufficient padding, sturdy casters, curved contours, and well-built arms makes this chair a nice value proposition at the near $100 price point.

amazonbasics-mid-back-mesh-chairAmazonBasics also offers this mid-back chair in a mesh version, at a slightly reduced cost. The mesh model is actually the best selling version of the AmazonBasics office chair line. The mesh option is a wise idea for those gamers who do not prefer the warmth of leather. The arm rest design gives the chair a less sturdy look, but overall this chair is just as capable as the leather mid-back edition.

4. Giantex High-Back Race Car Style Bucket Seat Chair
Giantex High Back Race Car Style Bucket Seat Office Desk Chair Gaming Chair

Gamers on a budget will appreciate the Giantex Race Car Style Bucket Seat Gaming Chair. A total of 4 cool styles ensure you’ll be racing around in your favorite color. Interestingly, some colors are priced higher than others probably due to inventory but in most cases this chair will leave you $80 lighter.

The seat and backing do indeed feel and look durable, but the seat padding may be too firm for some. This chair doesn’t recline like many racing style chairs but in the end, you’re getting a stylish and sturdy office chair for a decent price.

Pros:

Sharp racing bucket seat design
Practical cost style ratio
Padding is well done for the price
Cons:

Plastic wheel base
Bucket part of the seat feels firm and stiff
Chemical smell lasts awhile
giantex-ergonomic-pu-leather-high-back-office-gaming-chair

Another attractive chair from Giantex is the High Back PU Leather Ergonomic Office Chair. You can get this chair in white with black accents or black with white accents. At any rate, this chair is comparable to the AmazonBasics high back leather chair featured in our recommended budget gaming chairs. The big difference here is the snazzy appearance and the waterfall cushions that are quite comfortable.

giantex-executive-racing-style-high-back-reclining-chair-gaming-chair-office-computer
The Giantex Executive Racing Style Chair also sports an excellent style to cost ratio. This chair is offered in four other colors other than the white featured in the image: red, blue, green, and yellow. While you may sacrifice some build quality going with the Giantex chair over a DX Racer, your wallet will find the arrangement much more agreeable. At around $100ish price mark, this chair is arguably a better value. No need to upgrade to the premium package, this chair comes with the removable head rest pillow and removable lumbar cushion. The reclining mechanism tilts up to 150 degrees and is matched with adjustable arm rests and seat height.

5. Homall Bucket Seat High-Back Gaming Chair
Homall Racing Chair Ergonomic High-Back Gaming Chair PU Leather Bucket Seat

One of the most popular low cost gaming chairs on the market is the Homall Bucket Seat High-Back Gaming Chair. This is a sturdy, sporty chair for a fair price. A nice bonus is that this chair can be rocked back and forth — making it the fidget spinner of chairs.

The PU Leather may not get as soft as real leather, but the upholstery feels quality and durable. You get four slick color styles to choose from on this one. Another notable features include the PU leather wheels (safe for hardwood), flip up arm rests, contoured lower back support, and a decent amount of padding.

Pros:

Best looking chair under $100
PU casters safe for hardwood floors
Rockability
Cons:

PU leather can get warm
Not much in the way of ergonomic features
Plastic parts, stitching, upholstery not super durable
6. Modway Veer Mid-Back Office Chair
lexmod-veer-office-chair-one-of-the-best-office-chairs

The Modway Veer Office Chair hangs out just around the $100 price mark. It’s got a mesh back for excellent breathability. If you run hot when you’re in the thick of the action, you’ll want to consider this chair. Modway offers the Veer in eight color options, so you can get the right one wherever your color preferences lie. The waterfall seat design aids you in maintaining a healthy posture. The arms are also adjustable, allowing you to customize them to your height.

If you’re willing to compromise on the adjustable arm rests you can save yourself about $20 by going with the Modway Ardor model chair, which is also an able gaming companion.

Pros:

Competitive price
Ventilated backrest
9 color options
Cons:

Back rest is fixed, no leaning back
Adjustment knob sometimes gets stuck
Seat padding is thin

Recommended Mid-Range Computer Gaming Chairs ($100-$400)
These chairs offer a practical balance of price and features.

7. Flash Furniture White Leather Executive Office Chair
Flash Furniture High Back White Leather Executive Swivel Office Chair with Flip-Up Arms

First up in our mid-range category is another offering from reputable brand Flash Furniture. The Flash Furniture White Leather Executive Office Chair is the snowy white version of the high back leather executive model we talked about above. It is an excellent option for those looking to break away from the traditional black office chair.

Flash Furniture puts a high premium on the white color and even takes away some of the adjustment functionality. One big win is the flip up arms, so you can flip them out of the way when its time to get serious. Despite the rather steep price, the brilliant white and black insets makes for a very stylish chair, and those style points may very well be worth the extra cash. Just don’t spill the cup of joe.

Pros:

Brilliant white color w/ black insets look sharp
High back more comfortable for tall individuals
Flash Furniture makes durable chairs
Cons:

Easy to get dirty
Very few adjustment features
Stiff with minimal padding
8. Lorell Executive High-Back Mesh Chair
Lorell Executive High-Back Mesh Chair

Now this one doesn’t look too snazzy, but hear us out. The Lorell Executive High-Back Mesh Chair strikes the balance between features and price and it does that very well. Three lever control, seat-height, and tilt adjustment help you position this chair optimally and customize it to your body type. The arm rests are well designed too, they actually allow you to adjust width wise (in addition to height) which is a cool ergonomic feature we haven’t seen on another chair.

Furthermore, this chair will keep you cool even when you’re the last man alive on your CS:GO team. The mesh back and fabric/mesh seat hybrid offer excellent climate control. The downside is Lorell does not offer any other color options other than the black.

Pros:

Ergonomics for a fair price
Armrests can be adjusted in width and height
Mesh design offers good ventilation
Cons:

Not very flashy
Back top edge flares out, can knock things off your desk if you like to spin around
Seat isn’t well-padded
9. Merax Leather Racing Style Office Chair
Merax High Back Racing Style Gaming Chair

Merax offers what seems like dozens of gaming chair models. One of their best is the Merax High-Back Racing Style Gaming Computer Chair that comes in five color styles. Our favorite is the unique red, white, and black style.

For under $150, it’s kind of nuts what you’re getting. Recline up to 180 degrees, neck and lumbar pillows, adjustable armrests, thick padding, and a stylish looking chair to boot. The build quality isn’t quite as robust as a DX Racer, but this is nothing to sneeze at.

Pros:

Wheel base and casters looks cool
Great price for a well-built racing style chair
Multiple color options
Cons:

Not breathable, can get pretty hot
Armrests could use improvement
Padding not as plush as it appears, may be too stiff for some
10. SPACE Seating Professional AirGrid EcoLeather Chairprofessional-air-grid-chair-by-office-star
The Professional AirGrid Back مبل ویلایی Chair by SPACE Seating is a solid, well-put-together chair that looks great in any office set up. Adjustable arms, tilt tension, and height facilitate healthy sitting posture. Soft arm-pads and industrial strength wheels round out this chair nicely.

The leather seat with mesh back provides a wonderful combination of comfort and breathability. At around $150 it is a great value proposition. At that price point we honestly think Air Grid is the best chair at this price point. And most people agree: Office Star’s chair is one of the top 5 best-selling office chairs on Amazon.

Pros:

Leather padding on seat feels wonderfully soft
Quality parts, firm feel, and easy to adjust
4 style options
Cons:

Backrest may feel a bit too firm for some
Armrests seem a little flimsy
Mesh material wears down relatively quick
If you are looking for matching guest chair the SPACE Seating Professional AirGrid Visitors Chair is a great option. It is fairly costly for a guest chair, but for a professional looking office it makes a lot of sense. Plus, your spectators will be happy to have a quality buddy chair to watch you annihilate your opponents.

11. Arozzi Enzo Series Racing Style Chair
Arozzi Enzo Racing Style Gaming Chair

The Arozzi Enzo Series Gaming Chair is a barebones racing style chair. While you can get away with this chair for around $200, for about $100 more you can get a ton more features from the likes of DX Racer. That said, $100 is a lot of packs in Hearthstone or Riot Points in League.

The highlights of this chair are its clean style, ample cushioning, and sturdy construction. The downsides are lack of ergonomic features, no backrest and neck pillows, and arm rests that cannot be adjusted or flipped out of the way.

Pros:

Very stylish looking chair
Generous amount of padding
Some say even more comfortable than DX Racer chairs
Cons:

Height adjustment unit hard to assemble
Cannot adjust armrests of Enzo Series
Must buy more expensive Torretta Series for backrest and neck pillows
12. DXRacer Formula Series Gaming Chairs
DXRacer Formula Series Racing Gaming Chair

The DXRacer Formula Series Gaming Chair is a sharp looking chair that comes in many styles and color variations. This chair is perfect if you’re looking for something that looks more sporty. The chairs can be purchased with vinyl, cloth, or a patented race car seat upholstery which is a luxurious, breathable option. These chairs are big in the eSports world, particularly over in Europe. That’s no surprise—DXRacer makes some stylish chairs, while keeping ergonomic design in mind.

All of their chairs have a high straight backrest. Most come with detachable, adjustable lumbar and neck pillows. The chairs have s a flexible back with up to 180-degree adjustment, fully adjustable arm rests, tilt mechanism, and adjustable height gas spring. These are solid chairs weighing in at around 70 lbs. Added benefit: you feel like you’re sitting in the seat of a high-performance race car. If these chairs don’t get your motor started, we don’t know what will.

Starting at about $300, and reaching up to around $450+ for the King Series chairs, your wallet will definitely take a hit if DXRacer has successfully managed to woo you.

Pros:

Awesome looking design, material looks and feels high quality
Many unique size and style options, armrests and backrests fit gamers of all sizes
Wonderful reclining feature
Cons:

Very heavy
Can feel somewhat stiff until broken in
Some models are not ideal for taller gamers

13. Clutch Chairz Shift Series Gaming Chairs
Clutch Gaming Chair Review 4Much like LEVL, Clutch is attempting to make a name for themselves in the gaming chair arena. You’ve got a ton of options to choose from when it comes to racing style gaming chairs It makes sense to look for options where your dollar stretches the furthest.

On average, a quality racing style gaming chair runs about $300 these days. For about $80 more, the Clutch Shift Alpha Series checks all the boxes and features a high quality build. The only thing it really lacks is a footrest to match the full reclining ability. How are we supposed to sleep at and stay by our computers round the clock!? One easy (or not so easy) payment of $380 and it’s yours. At any rate, we’ve got a comprehensive review of the All Black Alpha Edition of the chair you can find at the destination of that very link.

Pros:

Robust build with thick aluminum base
Full recline & zero gravity
All black version looks clean
Cons:

Restrictive return policy
Lumbar pillow low quality
No footrest
14. SecretLab Titan Gaming Chair
SecretLab Titan Gaming Chair
SecretLab Titan Series in Stealth Prime PU Leather

A chair of godly proportions, the Titan Chair is ideal for larger gamers 5’7 in height and above (maximum load of 6’6, 290 pounds). It is Secretlab’s largest chair yet. This gaming chair package is one of the most polished we’ve seen and exemplifies Secretlab’s keen attention to detail. From the precise stitching to the fluid adjustment knobs, to the robust 77 pound frame and aluminum base, the build quality of this chair is top tier.

You can get the Titan and Omega in your choice of vegan PRIME PU Leather, Softweave Fabric, or luxurious Nappa leather. Nappa leather is featured in many luxury car seats as well as high-end boutique leather goods like bags and wallets. We wouldn’t necessarily classify Nappa leather as a need in the whole need vs. want debate but hey we just like how it rolls off the tongue and that makes it worth.

Secretlab Titan Series Softweave Fabric
Secretlab Titan Series in Cookies & Cream Softweave Fabric

We also dig the integrated lumbar adjustment system knob. By twisting this knob located on the side of the backrest, the lumbar zone of the chair protrudes or recedes to your preference — sort of like a built in adjustable lower back cushion. This chair has received one of our best review scores to date. At an eye-popping regular price of $500, we encourage our readers to look for it on sale. Right now there’s an ongoing Christmas sale where you can pick it up for $350 ($150 off).

Pros:

Lumbar adjustment knob
Red stitching with black is lovely
Titanic 77 pound chair (also could be a con)
Cons:

Cost, time to sell some of those bitcoin gains
Only available in 3 color styles
Doesn’t work for individuals under 5’7

I have been using the devoko ergonomic chair for half a year now. I put it together in less than 30 mins, takes me longer to do the dishes. I am online quite a bit and play online virtual worlds for hours at a time and all the old ergonomic chairs I had made my neck, back and shoulders sore. This one is a winner. Don't waste money on high dollar chair..this chair is all that and a bag of chips!
