Need advice on CPU cooler for new build, and on mid-level gaming build in general.

Hello Everyone, I'm looking for some opinions on my current build. The machine I'm using now is getting pretty old, and its time to build my replacement (before this one decides to kick the bucket =P ). I'm looking to build a mid-level gaming machine. I do some gaming, and a lot of photo editing with Photoshop and Lightroom. THe only parts I've set that I'm really wedded to is the CPU. I'm solid on the mobo, but open to recommendations if anyone thinks I should go with a different one. Everything else is open for changes.

I do need advice on a CPU cooler.

The build show below is a little more expensive than I'd like, but is within the range I've set (want to stay as close to $2k as I can, while building a machine that will last 6-7 years and allow me to run any software or games I want to). I want the option of overclocking, but am not wed to doing so.

Basically, what do you think of the below build (good, overkill, to weak - if overkill or weak, what would you recommend I change and why?) and what CPU cooler would you recommend.

Unmatched Compatibility
Zero RAM Interference

Focusing on providing the widest range of
compatibility, the H7 utilizes an asymmetric slanted
heatpipe layout to move the heatsink away from the
RAM zone, Offering optimal compatibility for RAM
with tall heat spreaders on both Intel 115X and
AMD platforms.
