Long story short I am building a PC on a budget and in a common for me "spur of the moment" decision I ordered the parts. What can I expect from this system when it comes to mid-level pc gaming?

CPU: AMD FX-6300 6 core
GPU: GTX 950 2GB
PSU: EVGA 500W
MOBO: AM3 DDR 3 Gigabyte motherboard
RAM: Crucial 8GB DDR3
Hard Drive: 1TB seagate
Case: Thermal Take Versa

I know this is a VERY VERY VERY tall order but hey maybe you can help out if you know anything. I am just some random guy on the internet but do whatever you want, I am fairly certain I'm not your mom. Thank you.

Ow, that's an AM3+ motherboard, that's no problem.
It supports RAM to 1333 speed though, so if you invested in anything faster it will run at 1333 regardless.
It also has a PCIe2.0*16 slot whereas the 950 is PCIe3.0*16, but those are backwards compatible with no/minimal losses so no worries.

You should have no worries with that build.

Well, the most important thing in that list is that your CPU is a AM3+ CPU and that motherboard is AM3.
Now, the AM3+ is backwards compatible with AM3 so you can physically fit one in the other, but some of the earlier/cheaper AM3 motherboards don't deal well with them.
Do you have more details on the motherboard?

The CPU, GPU and amount of RAM is fine for a budget, mid-level build.
