GTX 980 TI + GTX 660 TI - Is this a bad idea?

I just finished building a new system from Christmas gifts/money. Specs are:

i7-6700k
Geforce GTX 980 TI
32GB DDR4 RAM
500 GB M.2 NAND SSD
Windows 10 Pro

I salvaged a GTX 660 TI from my old computer, and added it to the new system as well. The 980 is driving my main monitor over DVI, and a 1080p TV over HDMI. The 660 is driving 2 extra side monitors on the left and right of my main monitor.

The main monitor and TV are mirrored, and games are always played full screen on the main monitor.

Is this setup feasible? I'm not exactly sure how the 980 and 660 interact with each other in this type of config. Will the 660 be dragging down the 980 in games? I've benchmarked a few games and I see a definite improvement...but not as much as I'd expect.

the 980 ti is EASILY capable of doing it all alone

all you should be using the 660 ti for is as a dedicated physx card

and even then it would be meh
