I have 2 Seagate barracuda 2TB each
The problem is, the hard drive is detect using old enclosure that the first I buy HDD + that enclosure..
After that I plan to change my enclosure to Akasa DuoDock X..
The problem is the hard drive won't detect at all.. The hard drive is detect in disc management with unallocated space.. Since the hard drive is full with data I don't want to reformat it.. After I using my old enclosure back.. It work without any problem.. I can see all my data there..

I have try about 4 enclosure & docking at my workstation.. All of them same problem.. Ask me to format with unallocated space inside disk management..

I ask technician, they tell me that the hard drive maybe choosing it own enclosure.. That is the first enclosure that it formatted & repartition it..

I use win 7 pro x64 sp1
Laptop that I use MSI GS70 STEALTH 2OD

Hey there, Flepcher! Welcome to tom's hardware and a happy new year! :D

Basically the technician might be right here, although I've rarely heard of such issues with an external enclosure. Sometimes when you use a hard drive with a specific device, which you've also used to format it with, the HDD can't be properly used with another one until its reformatted, but most of the similar problems I've seen were when an HDD was used with a DVR or a TV.
However if the issue which you're experiencing is caused by the same problem, you could try to back up all of your data to a different drive and then reformat this one with a different enclosure, to see if it works properly afterwards.

Hope that helps. Please let me know how it goes.
