GTX 680 SLI Upgrade

I have a GTX 680 2GB SLI on a i7 6700 ddr4 CPU. I wonder if i buy a R9 390 GPU i get better performance on fullhd res.Thanks

680 SLI still can play most games at 1080p with high settings. Just hold out until Pascal/Polaris at least for an upgrade.

You have a good point, but for a medium pascal/polaris model we have to wait 8/10 month. In the meantime a 390 can do better? Thanks

It SLI work properly probably you won't see much difference in performance between 680SLI and 390X. The only limiting factor right now might that 2GB on 680. Otherwise they still provide good performance.

In the Nvidia control panel, enable "Show Visual SLi Indicator" from the 3D Settings tab.

Or you can enable OSD in your games monitor your gpu utilization (for both). From my experience with SLI the gpu will try to 'even' the usage of both gpu. So it depends on how demanding the games are as well. In mass effect 2/3 for example both of my gpu utilization was about 15% or so.
