I've noticed that today when I transferred an MP4 movie on my Lumia 630 from my laptop, there was a video but the sound was like a constant scratching. I believe that the term for this is "static" audio. This has only happened to this one video so far. I am thinking that this has to do with an audio codec. Any idea what the problem is and how to fix it? How exactly should I convert the MP4 video so the sound isn't "scratchy" ? Also, is my phone the reason? I tried transferring other videos and they didn't have a problem. Thank you.

If it was only the one video that has done it, I'd try moving it over again and see if it still does it the second time. If it does, the file probably does like being compressed, and distorts - if this is the case, I dont think theres much you can do about it.

Thank you for your response. I've tried transferring the video and the issue still remains.
