Suggestion please!!! :( AMD athlon ii x2 2.8 GHz for gtx 750 ti

Can anyone help? I need to know if gtx 750 ti compatible with my processor? Amd athlon ii x2 2.8ghz. I don't want to buy the GPU unless I'm certain that it will work. I went to the store and asked if it is compatible but they said I should change my processor or even my mobo. But when I searched on the net it says it's compatible. So Im not sure who to believe. Help?? TIA

It is compatible but the CPU will bottleneck it. A GT 730 or 740 would be a closer match, but nothing is stopping you from putting a 750 Ti, or for that matter a 980 Ti, with that CPU (other than power supply).
