Ok, so I overclocked my CPU, saved it and it reset the PC as it would normally but when the pc came back on there was no monitor signal.

I tried clearing CMOS by shorting it but it still won't display although the pc is coming on.

Solution
If your mainboard has another PCIe x16 slot, try that first.

Oh, and if your GPU has another plug-in for your monitor type (like most have multiple DisplayPort ports), try that too.
That means you CPU overclock was unsuccessful.

Instead of shorting it, take the battery out. I know it does the same thing, but humor me. Leave it for a minute or so, then put the battery back in.

You may also need to unplug the power cable from the power supply and switch the power supply off (if it has an external switch). Leave it like that for a couple of minutes, then plug the power supply back in and turn the power switch back on. After a few seconds, you should be able to turn the computer back on via the power switch.

I had trouble taking out the battery but I took out the GPU and it worked fine but then when I put it back in I got the "No signal" message. Do I need to replace my GPU?
