USB3 stopped working after windows update

I have copied a few files from my computer to the external hard drive, plugged it into the TV to watch a movie, restarted the computer and it applied an update, plugged the external hard drive back to the computer and the USB 3 port no longer works. 2 in the back 1 in the front, none of them works. Tried with my mouse and keyboard, none of those work either.
The motherboard is Gigabyte 970a-ds3p, and I am using windows 10 64bit.
Please help, 30MB/s copy speed is so slow :(

Hey there, hergendy007!

@rujoesmith is right. You should uninstall the USB hub drivers from Device Manager and then reinstall them from the motherboard manufacturer's website. Windows Updates tend to mess things up with the drivers after certain updates, that's why it's recommended to use the hardware's brand-specific utilities. Windows OS, however, usually installs more generic and outdated drivers. Whenever something like this happens again, make sure you check that link for any driver updates for you motherboard model.

No idea how could that have happened, but I have tried it, and it says cannot detect the hardware for the installation.
Also, the chipset only has a driver for windows 8.1, and I have that installed, and it worked so far.
