printing from windows 7 machine to serial printer

hi i have a windows 7(64 bit) desktop that i'm trying to connect to an epson lx-300+ using a usb to serial cable. the com and lpt option comes up in device manger, it also shows up as a generic usb hub. i suspect i might have to create a virtual usb print port but so far im drawing blanks. any advice will be appreciated. thanks

Firstly connect your printer usb hub into back side of your computer because front port sometimes doesn't support it.Now turn on your printer.If it is not installing still showing generic usb port go to device manager and uninstall already install driver for your usb port and scan your new connect driver.
