I am looking for a new CPU for my PC I recently got the R9 270x but I have a crap AMD 4x 750 or something that is overheating and bottlenecking my 270x on some games I struggle to get 60fps on low settings when my graphics card can easily run them on ultra. If anyone knows any well priced decent CPU's that would not bottleneck this card and allow me to multitask that would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks. :D

in that case, i would upgrade to a i5 4690k and a z97 motherboard of your choice, and get a Hyper 212 evo or Cryorig h7 if you can afford it (5$ more but it is better)

If you dont want to spend that much get a i5 4460 with a cheaper LGA 1150 motherboard and use the stock cooler because it runs fine with the stock cooler

that cpu isnt good for gaming i agree with Mason Marnell and we gotta know your budget, for a solid and strong motherboard and cpu you would need 250$, or if your looking to not upgrade your mobo to AM3+ or LGA 1150 then tell us your Motherboards name

i agree with lodders, if you can afford it spend 250$ on a mobo and CPU upgrade to an i5 4460 and compatible lga 1150 motherboard, it gives solid performance and will give you a massive fps boost compared to what you see now

The FX series is terrible and not worth it, lets hope Zen is good otherwise intel will have a monopoly on the cpu market

I know things over there have different relative prices ( I live in America), but I would really recommend getting a 4690k and a compatible z97 motherboard. Its overclockable so it will last you a little longer than a locked CPU. If you aren't planning to get into overclocking now you could just use your stock cooler and get an after market cooler (like assassin said) later if you need a little extra horse power.
