Was wondering if anyone can help me to overclock my FX-6300, I just got my new Cryorig H7 today and I know I won't be able to OC much but I know I can, so I was wondering how much would I be able to get to and how would I do so?

I'm still a nooby at overclocking, my specs are linked below.

I used OC Genie once and did a stress test with Prime95 and I noticed one of the cores stopped running like 30 seconds into the test, so I disabled it immediately.

A lot of people said to stay away from it but I got curious lol, how would one increase their multiplier?

I know how to increase the CPU Voltage but I can't seem to find the multiplier.

EDIT: I noticed I can change the multiplier in MSI Command Center, will that work?

Don't use the oc genie, and do not overclock with software. Best way is to reset your bios to default settings. Then disable all power saving options, then manually increase your multiplier to where you are at say 4ghz for example. Reboot, use Intel burn test and a free program called hwmonitor to look at your temps. Let Intel burn test run as you watch temps. If the cpu starts going above 60, shut down the test. But just adjust one thing at a time through the bios. A little more tiresome but if you have stable settings, then as you push the system, and things become unstable, you should know exactly what you adjusted and be able to turn it back to the last stable setting.

I ran the test at 3.9GHz and it passed with flying colors, only ran into stability problems according to intel burn test at 4.0GHz about 2 1/2 minutes into the test, I believe this is an indication to just keep it at 3.9?

EDIT: Also forgot to note, the highest temp I hit at 3.9GHz was 53C, according to MSI Command Center my voltage is at 1.3175, Is this voltage a bit much or is it normal?

I took the voltage up to 1.3275 and did another test with the oc on 4.0, it did better but intel burn test still came up saying it was unstable.

Should I keep my OC down at 3.9 or take the voltage up by more?

It really depends on your comfort level. I've got mine at 4.3 on 1.3 volts at the moment. I think max voltage is around 1.5. What are your temps like? It really boils down to how far you are comfortable pushing it.

To give you an idea, my cpu maxes out around 50-54 on full load. I don't like to have my cpu get over 60, which is why I haven't pushed it to far yet.

My temps are mid 50s under load, was 53C max at 3.9 now 54C at 4.0, I would imagine this cooler is really good as I have heard many good things come from the Cryorig H7 and so far it looks like it lives up to it.

Is it possible my PSU isn't pushing out enough power for the CPU? I mean I do have a 500W PSU and according to pcpartpicker my average wattage usage with everything at base clock should be at 349W.

EDIT: Also, what other settings in BIOS should I disable?

I already disabled Cool n' Quiet and C1E but I know there are others that I'm missing.
