How to make a hard drive reformat itself?

So I have this oldish laptop I installed Ubuntu on, and I'm looking to install Windows 7 Home Premium. The problem is, I need to reformat the hard drive as NFTS in order to install Windows. I can't figure out how to go about it. Thanks!

1. The Windows installer has the option to format the HDD
2. The Ubuntu Live CD can also format the HDD with the Gparted partition manager.. it can also format in NTFS
