i don't mean literal new games, im talking about stuff like GTA San Andreas, stuff like that, if a single core pentium 4 can run GTA, then i believe that a quad core power Mac G5 can run san andreas, i even saw a video of a quad core power mac running minecraft at high settings, it was very smooth

Your subject heading did say "newer" games.

Anyway, you are correct. The PPC Mac was never a great gaming platform - hardware wise - so few publishers bothered to port their games to it. For "few" you can nowadays read "no". The only PPC Mac that would be any good at all with modern games would be the Mac Pro; not many people laid out that sort of money to play games (similarly, I doubt that many people buy a modern Mac Pro with games playing as a primary aim).

Minecraft is an exception as it is written in Java, so is hardware independent.

You might need a program called Boot Camp or partition your hard drive to have windows

Why would a games publisher develop games for a technology that died over 10 years ago? The PPC is a totally different processor from the ones used in Intel Macs and PCs. Boot Camp won't help you as you can't run Windows on such a machine.

the game was released in 2004, the time when powerpc macs were still alive, and many games didn't support the platform
