I got a new motherboard and graphics so that I can run cs go better but I have a problem. My new motherboard is not reading the pci-e slot and I cant fix it in the bios. I tried to use my old graphics card that I know works and it also did not work and I want to find out how I can change it so that the motherboard would use the pci-e slot. my motherboard is the MSI h67mae45 and my gpu is the Gtx 660.

MSI has a website with hardware compatibility, you might try there, it might be new mobo vs old graphics pci? generally pci slots are backward compatible, but not guaranteed. I didn't know that the BIOS would actually recognize pci's installed but there should be an option to either select the external (pci) over the onboard graphics, sometimes the option may be obscure for example Asus M5A88-M has a list of codes in 4 possible arrangements that determine which video output is primary - no real explanation of the codes in the BIOS, but explanation is in the book however, in my case video output worked to the monitor via new pci card before i changed the code in the bios anyway. I'm assuming you already set your BIOS graphics to PCI or External, or whatever MSI uses to distinguish other vs onboard.

The book tells me I can change it on a tab in the advanced settings but I don't have it. it is called On-Chp VGA Devces. do I have to update my drivers or something? I have the latest bios update.
