Hello,

System Specs:
GPU:GTX 970 (& previously with my GTX 570)
CPU: AMD Phenom II x4 965 Black Edition 3.4GHz
MOBO: Asus M4A89TD PRO/USB3
RAM: 16GB DDR3
PSU : OCZ Mod Extreme Pro 700w

This seems to be something wrong with the newest version of windows and I'm not sure if it's specific to my PC but I couldn't find anybody else talking about it. So let me give my story. About a month ago windows 10 updated itself to the newest windows version. I tried to play GTA V and was getting HORRIBLE fps. Some games it's completely unplayable (GTA V for example) other games there are only small random but frequent micro stutters (R6 Siege) for example. The only solution I have found is to restart my computer. Here is an imgur link that shows my GPU performance in GTA V before and after waking from sleep mode (The first percentage is power and second percentage is usage.) http://imgur.com/a/5Swls Everything will work fine until my computer goes into sleep mode. When I wake it from sleep mode the problem resumes. I rolled back to the previous version of windows 10 and it worked fine again. Now... I got a SSD, reinstalled windows 7 on my computer and upgraded back to windows 10. I'm experiencing the same issue. I have tried posting everywhere I can imagine, got no replies, and still don't know what to do. Has anybody else experienced this? It is happening with both my old GTX 570 and GTX 970. I would love to just roll back to a previous version of windows 10 but i'm not sure how since this install has only ever been on this Windows 10 version. Is rolling back my only hope? Also, should I even really be putting my PC in sleep or is it okay with the computer on 24/7?Thanks for any help?

-Nick

Do you have directx 12 ?
Do you have all of the drivers installed and working ?
If not , uninstall all drivers , get a registry fixer program, fix the registry and stuff , install drivers .

Check in device manager if the gpu and cpu are working , you should see each cpu installed .
Go to "this computer" , then right click on left section on " this pc" , click manage to enter device manager.
If nothing works , google " how to get back to windows 7 after upgrade windows 10" or reinstall windows 7 and don t upgrade to win 10

Hello,
According to dxdiag my directx version is 12.
Exactly which drivers are you talking about? My GTX 970's drivers are installed, I have even tried clean installing them by first removing with DDU then reinstalling.
In device manager it is listing my display device as GTX 970 and all 4 processors without any errors.
I already deleted the windows.old folder as it was taking up a lot of space on my ssd so reinstalling Windows 7 would be my only option, which is not ideal.
It would be nice to figure out what is going on though. Guess I'm out of luck this is like the 10th post I've made about this issue.

I think it is a issue from windows, and i also think that you need to wait for updates . You should report the part with "when pc wakes up , games have low fps" . Until then, shut down your computer , do not put it to sleep! You should also use ccleaner for defragmentation of your disks ! Or you can defrag. by yourself.
