is there any way to hook up two (or potentially more) monitors to a sigle thunderbolt port? is the thunderbolt port compatible with a mini displayport device?

The problem is that I only have one dp/tp port available. Are hubs the only solution ? Are there such things as splitters? Cuz like, hubs are 300 bucks a pop here and welp, that's not really cheap

It's 697br$ on Mercado livre (Brazilian e-bay basically) and since our economy was based on 1 dollar =2 br $ and now its three and a half or so yeah, its quite a high price. (I'm Brazilian btw)

Its not for me, its for my dad. Just text stuff really. He won't be playing AAA games at 144hz, just researching for his doctorate xD
