They have slightly different clocks and slightly different coolers. I believe the G1 includes a backplate, but that may not be true anymore. They will have pretty similar performance.
Thank you for your reply, in my country there is a difference of 40-45$ , which one should i take? also, im not planning to oc it if it helps
im going to play games like ark:survival evovled , just cause 3 , witcher 3, gta v, call of duty black ops3 if it is helping somehow.

I would get whatever is cheapest. The performance difference between the two should be less than 5%.

I'm not sure what if your system, but if you have an I3-5-7 core you will be fine with a 970. Also, yes, really big difference, 970 runs everygame in high-ultra. With 960, medium-high maybe.

go for 970 if is in your budget, i assume you will playing at 1080p.
Try search for EVGA, or Asus, they are top tier in GTX brand's. But, they aren't in your budget, go to Gigabyte.

The GTX 970 is roughly twice as powerful as the 960. The 970 usually has a better price/performance ratio, but that will depend on your local prices.
