I have recently purchased a MSI Geforce GTX 750 TI alongside a 500w power supply to upgrade my Gateway DX4860-UB21P PC. After I installed the PSU, I attempted to install the GPU but once I boot up the PC there is no display on my monitor. When I uninstall the GPU and reboot the PC, it works just fine. I have tried installing the GPU 3 times, each time I try to connect the monitor to the GPU using both VGA and HDMI. Then I try connecting both the VGA and HDMI to my old ports which still doesn't work so long as the GPU is connected to my PC. As stated previously these ports are perfectly functional when the GPU is not installed to my PC. I've also tried booting the PC with the case open and the GPU's fan is working even though there is no display.

There's no way for me to tell from here if it is a defective card or a BIOS issue. If you can return the card, I would.

The Gateway page you linked me to shows your DX4860 to have a non-Win8 BIOS available also: P03.A3 2.5 MB 2012/05/14
Newer than the one you say you have now. But if you are not familiar with flashing a BIOS, it may be cheaper in the long run to try changing cards first. There's no guarantee that even flashing the BIOS will make the card work.

There's always the possibility that the gfx card is defective. But I suspect it may just be incompatible with the older BIOS of the motherboard. The GTX 750 Ti uses a newer UEFI BIOS. Your board may still use the older legacy BIOS. Generally this can be remedied by updating the board's BIOS to the latest version. But it doesn't always solve the issue.

What MSI GTX 750 Ti did you get? This one has a BIOS switch on it that allows you to change between UEFI and legacy BIOS for boards that don't play nice. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127783

I have this version http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127784 so I don't think there is a switch. My BIOS information says "BIOS Version/Date American Megatrends Inc. P01-A3, 4/19/201" Unfortunately when I looked up my model here http://us.gateway.com/gw/en/US/content/drivers-downloads the only UEFI BIOS was for Windows 8 (I'm on Windows 7). I appreciate the help.
