Why does it look so ugly (washed out and dark)

I have the mine craft demo on my PC, however it just looks so ugly (colors are sooo washed out) and because of it, I don't even wanna consider buying the full game. Why does it look so bad, I've looked everywhere and I cant find anything on it. Is it my GPU? I don't think so because I have a EVGA GTX 670 FTW, which is better than a PS4 and alot better than an Xbox 360 [which can run it]. My friend with worse specs than me runs it easy. I also I have an i7 4790 [locked] with 16 gigs of ddr3 Kingston HyperX Fury RAM, so CPU wise, I think I'm good. So what on Earth is the problem? Please help.

SOLVED: the demo is just really ugly

Also, why the heck do you still play Minecraft? The hype for it died two years ago.
You have the honor to talk to one of those people who still prefer CS 1.6 over CS:GO and have been raised on Quake and CS 1.6. I know the age doesn't matter but Minecraft is dead by now. The only revival is mods.

I guess I don't understand the point you are trying to make. Just because you personally don't like Minecraft anymore doesn't make it "dead" for everyone else. The OP wants to play it, and in this thread, that's all that matters. Nothing wrong with that. There are tons of old games that few people play anymore, but that doesn't mean they are "dead" and it's no reason to question the players' motives for playing. This isn't high...

Maybe it's just your monitor? I mean, if it's an old LN panel, it's gonna look ugly with bad colors.

Check your GPU drivers though.

I'm pretty sure "hype" is not required to play a game, no matter it's age. There are people that still hold CounterStrike tournaments, with the ORIGINAL version of the game that came out 15 years ago. Age means nothing.

This isn't high school where you have to do what everyone else is doing or else be labeled uncool.
