Hi

I am currently trying out a razer nage (first gaming mouse), and with my return period nearing an end I am considering returning it in favor of a Logitech g502. I play both RPG games and FPS, and have yet to use more than 5 buttons for macros, so I think the g502 might suite me better. What I am worried about is the different software for automatic game detection, with profiles being linked to games. This just seems a bit more complicated/ more likely to go wrong that the extremely simple razer synapse. Can anyone offer feedback on the g502 software/profile system?

Thanks!

All G series mice use the same software, and most actually have multiple built in profiles they can use if you don't want that software. With the software on though, you can set a default mapping, and then custom ones for any games you choose. It's actually easier to use than synapse (much easier on the eyes), and fairly light weight as far as virtual keyboard filters go.
