I have been struggling for atleast 1 hr and a half trying to line up these hand screw holes.

When I match them up on one side, they don't seem to lone up, and if I use force, I'm afraid I will break my cpu, and I mean ALOT of force.

You can see them here.

Solution
The screw in the middle of the X-clip is supposed to fit in a small hole on top of the CPU block. There is also another tiny orientation pin on the block which should fit in a small notch on the clip to limit twist motion. If those aren't lined up properly, the clip won't rest flush across the top of the block and you won't be able to screw both sides down. (At least not without using a dangerous amount of force.)

By the looks of your pics, you merely have to adjust the angle at which the 2 brackets overlap under the radiator fins. In other words, loosen up the screw that holds it in the middle, seat the 4 corner screws.

The screws have three notched positions in the bracket and it looks like you need to use the outmost notch here. Easiest thing to do would be to take out the HSF and adjust the clamp before fitting the HSF back in. The 212's clamp should fit any socket from LGA775 to current except LGA2011.

And you do have to use a LOT of force. Three should go in ok, while the forth will make you swear you are breaking your motherboard. DON'T tighten them all down at one at a time. Just screw them in a bit so they don't pop back out right away.

Yes I have, after watching this video the 21 second one, I have a question to my exact problem. You know how he screwed in the first 2 thumb screws and the other 2 were raised, how did he get those to align perfectly without force?

So alot of force = good? I did that before and I thought I damaged the pins yo my cpu, so when I tried to take it out the cpu was stuck, when I finally pried it apart the cpu pins were unscathed :D so I will try the force manure again

And I see the problem with the cooler on the cpu, it's like it's too big "cpu" which should work with this cooler? The thumb screws on the brackets won't touch at ALL. even when I line them up properly it's like they won't connect at all with the actual cooler on them, what can I do to connect all 4 thumbscrews?

it's like my screws are too short (I'm using the long ones) and I would have to use a dangerous amount of force to get it In but I uploaded a link to the exact problem I'm having

The screws should not be "too short", they should be just barely long enough to start threading in with minimal force if you start all four before tightening. The screws' springs pick up the screw slack, don't worry about excessive force unless the springs bottom out.

You should not be able to over-tighten since there are only something like 15 turns worth of fine threads on the screw tips. Once the threads bottom out, that's it, can't go any tighter.
