Hey all,

I'm trying to build my first PC. Basically, my goal is to have a build that can handle heavy Excel use (files as large as 25,000 KB), dual monitors, multitasking, and great resolution. I'd also like the option to be able to upgrade to a better graphics card if I decide to play Rome Total War II again. Also, I'd like it to be Windows 10. I have a MacBook now, but I'm going back to Windows.

I've never built a PC before nor do I know much about specs for certain components. I do know, from what I've been told, that to handle what I want, I would need a capable a CPU and enough RAM, roughly 12gbs or more.

I'd also like to keep total spend under $650.00, and I hope I can build a PC at this price. I'm willing to compromise on some of my "wants." The $650 will be excluding the two monitors, only the tower and its components.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

GTX 960 is one of the great graphic card for Games such as total war.

RAM is 16GB, so you would not have any problem multi tasking.
