Hey guys and gals, im currently working on a laptop for my mother in law, and she is having this issue, the network adapter will not work at all, it comes up in device manager as not being installed, when i attempt to install it, it always fails, the installer always finishes correctly but it attempts the automatic installation in the process and fails to install properly, I've triple checked that i got the drivers for the correct network card but it still refuses to work

(two little sidenotes, the ethernet will not work either, and this was not a fresh install of windows 7, it is still on the OS its always been when working correctly in the past)

i've included a picture of where the installation fails, not only this but i've tried installing two different USB network adapters and i can install the software, but they still don't work.. when i look at them in device manager it says they are configured improperly

Does anyone have any idea how i can get this thing working again? it's very very important to her and her work

Didn't end up working, I'm guessing something in the registry was messed up, I had to reformat, ended up using the same exact drivers as beforehand and it finally allowed them to install properly, just for future reference if anyone comes across this thread
