Building a brand new pc

I am building a new pc. My question is, so I have to install drivers before my Gpu will work. Would I be better off just using my igpu or will the graphics card work workout drivers. Note I have nothing at all on the ssd.

Nah, doesn't matter. Just install the GPU drivers when you have installed the OS, you will get a prompt "please restart your PC for this software to work bla bla" and when you restart it, your GPU would be working.

Just plug the discrete gpu in the monitor for basic video signal. Install the gpu drivers before play your games.

It will use windows default drivers until you install the proper drivers. The default driver works fine in windows but to get maximum performance you have to install the proper driver.

yeah, the gpu is capable of basic video output, just like the onboard of the mobo, without its specific drivers. the gpu specific drivers are needed before putting it to work with stuff like gaming. so build the computer, hook the monitor to the gpu, and get started installing windows. once you can get on your desktop, go ahead and install the gpu drivers.
