2400 mhz ram running at 1066mhz

so I have a corsair vengeance ddr4 2400 MHz 4gb x 4 running at 1066 MHz is there something wrong with my ram?

CPU: i7-6700k
MB: msi z170a m7

If your using 2 sticks in dual channel as you should, then programs will say it's 1066 when in fact it's 1066 X 2 or 2133 the default speed for the motherboard.
To get it to 2400 you need to go into BIOS and either enable XMP or manually set the speed timings and voltage. Programs will then say it's 1200.
