Hello, just like my name~ i'm new to hardware and want to upgrade my rig.

My current spec is:

Processor i5 3470
Mobo ASUS P8H61-M LX PLUS R2.0
4 x 2GB RAM
Asus GTX 550 ti

I'm using this pc for light gaming like Dota 2, CS:GO, and for video editing and of course record that's gameplay. I'm planning to upgrade to GTX 750 ti / 760 strix, and using only H motherboard (not planning to OC or maybe if I have more money i will). Nah, for this procie I'm kindly confuse, should I go 4690? or 4790? i've read some, and said its not worth it because I will only get about 10% performance incrase.

What I want to get is, faster rendering (or exporting the video) , and I don't have to use 3rd program to compress my raw video files (i have 2 - 3 files to compress) for getting exact 30 fps, (since im using seperate file for video and facecam cause i dont have webcam). for now it took about an 30 - 40 to compressing the file, and then editing process blablabla, and exporting for 40 - 45 mins (im using chromakey is that why exporting so slow?).

Are the GTX 750 ti or 760 strix support cuda?
Wich one making the exporting / rendering process faster?
Im sorry if you guys who will answer confuse, i do confuse with my self.
cheers~

Solution

I would update the gpu to the GTX 970 and see what that does for you before spending a dime on the cpu/motherboard. Intel chips haven't gotten a whole heck of a lot faster since ivybridge, and simply getting a better gpu might be all you need to do.

probably replace your power supply while i'm at it.

if it turns out you still need/want a cpu/motherboard i'd stick with z97 and haswell i5-4690k, that should all stick within your $1000 budget. (recycle the ram with the new system)
