Hello, I want to setup a server on a windows PC, I used to use "small http server" which is all GUI based, but I cannot find any key to register it, are there any alternatives? I know a lot of server software but they are all CLI based, and the IIS only allow 10 connections...

I have windows XP SP3---I know it's not even a good desktop choice, but it's the only one that can be installed and run on that little PC without problem.
the server provide a FTP for my home safety camera, and it might be used to provide a mirror site for BSD in the future.

What type of security camera?
There are multiple camera specific applications that will do that http and FTP.

However...XP? I sincerely hope this is not exposed to the outside world.

Dlink 933L
errr, it may become a public mirror for a project in the future...
I tried to install Posready 2009 but it don't recognize the HDD.
I want to use windows because I'm not that familiar with Unix-like ones, and I also like the windows GUI so that I can monitor everything through RDP easily.
However I tried many Linux and BSD before, none of them working.

The software that comes with the camera already does FTP, email, DDNS, etc.
It is its own webserver already.

Thank you.
But I think I already know this, I just want a web server because it have to act as a HTTP and FTP server for the mirror later, and It's better not install a separate camera tool to use up the PC resource...
I'm still using "small http server" now, it seems don't have much limit without register code, however I just want to know if there's better option.

The connection limit of 10 is a function of the Windows operating system, not IIS. It was raised with Windows 7 to 20. Any web server that you install would have this limit, so IIS is as good as any other.

As already stated, if you need more connections you need a server version of the OS.
