Currently I'm running a 4790k 980ti build with a ax860. I know the 5930k uses close to 100 more watts. I have a evga 1000 watt p2 psu. The ax860 has been a rock for a couple of years. What should I do?

Just to piggy-back on this: Would you consider a 850w unit enough to comfortably run the OP's system (or the one in my signature) with dual 980Ti's, which have been overclocked to the max on their third party air coolers?

Are we getting too close to max capacity and is it safer/advisable to go for a more powerful unit, considering the higher energy consumption and cost of the PSU??

With a bunch of overclocking you'd be pushing an 850w unit rather hard. Guru3d reccomends a 900w psu for sli with the heavily overclocked 980ti's. If you want to do alot of overclocking I reccomend a 1000w to keep a comfortable amount of head room. In the future please create your own thread rather than hijacking someones elses, even if the question is similar.
