I'm not getting 300mbps on mini pci e wifi adapter and all im getting is max of 65bps.This adapter is on a asrock motherboard socket 1155.Its on a asrock h61 vg4 paired with a i5 2500k.
My wifi is a unlimited talk talk wifi package its is a adsl router.
What can i do + ive installed drivers from the website. Im on windows 8.1

Yeah, it looks like that is a 1-stream router, so 65-Mbps is the best you will be able to do with it (using 20-MHz channels).

The best you are going to do with that adapter is 130 Mbps (with 20 MHz channels).

DGN2200 - yes (130)
DSL2740R - yes (130)
N14U - yes (130)

It is unlikely that you can get 40-MHz channels on 2.4 GHz. The next step in 2.4 GHz is 3-stream (195 Mbps, advertised as 450).
Tell us about the router or access point you are connecting to.

Since 65 Mbps is the highest 1-stream 20-MHz rate, I suspect that your router/access point doesn't support anything faster.
