My wife recently brought home an HP Officejet 6700 from work that was going to be replaced with a newer model because we have been looking to get a wireless printer. Only the wireless part of it will not work. It shows that the printer is connected to our wi fi and it prints anything off our laptop when it is plugged into it but printing wireless is still not happening. What am I doing wrong? My son tells me that the printer is being discovered on his ipad. But when he prints from his ipad, nothing prints out.

Solution
First, go online and download the HP Officejet 6700 User Guide/Manual.

Second, per the User Guide/Manual configure the HP Officejet 6700 to be a device on your home network. A reset may be necessary to clear all of the original office settings. Probably best to do so anyway so you have a clean start on the configuration and setup. You must match the SSID, the password, the security level, etc. to get the printer on the network.

Third, go online and download and install the appropriate HP Officejet 6700 driver for each device expected to print to the HP Officejet 6700.

Focus on getting one device working (i.e., able to print) and use that experience and information to set up the other devices that will be using the 6700 to print.
