Is there a better faster CPU that will be a drop-in replacement for the i7-3770 in an Asus P8Z77 WS MOTHERBOARD?

Looking over the CPU support list for that motherboard I see no significant upgrades possible. The K version (3770K) of your chip is essentially the best that motherboard supports and would only give a very marginal performance increase if overclocked. The 3770 is still a very adequate performer and the newer generation CPUs really have not added a large improvement over it particularly in gaming.
