Hi,

i need help to build a 32 security monitoring camera for father's workshop. I don't know any set of them i can buy them all togather for cheaper and better offer, so i need help. I am completely out of them, what parameters do i need to look at. i will use 8 outside all others 24 inside.

There are 32 channel conventional camera (coax) DVRs on E-Bay. 32 IP cameras would have to be MOSTLY wired to work successfully. You could get by with a few (4?) WIFI cameras but I think you will have to mostly be wired. After that you need to determine what resolution and refresh you will be recording. Use that info to get a Mbit rating for each camera. You can then determine the aggregate bandwidth required. I don't know what software will support 32 simultaneous channels. I have a feeling that that software costs will be almost as much as hardware.

I need to extra pay for software?
I have all cables installed cat.6 so i must go with network cameras and NVR.

Is there any set i can get like 24 cameras and 3/ channel nvr? I can get other cameras later.
