How do I enable keyboard backlight?

Ive finally got my computer built and I have Ubuntu on it. My keyboard backlight on my CM Storm devastator will not turn on. How do I fix this?

Right, i read that but Im 100% new to Linux so i dont exactly know how to do that. How do i get permissions to add files into those folders? How do i run the files?

1. open a terminal

2. sudo xmodmap -e 'add mod3 = Scroll_Lock

3. enter your password

4. press the scroll lock key to see if your back light comes on

5. If it does, you can either enter that command every time ubuntu boots, or have it run automatically at startup

Woah, slow down there. No clue how to do that lol. I barely got Linux working correctly. Im just using it at the moment because its free and i just dropped like 500$ on my first pc build haha

No doubt Linux is better than other OSs but I dont really think I can use it to its full capabilites. Ive been trying to make a bootable Windows USB with Winusb but cant even get that to work
